If you have the time drop into a show of the Capitol Steps at the Reagan Center for Commerce. The show has the advantage of providing we aging liberals with a chance to laugh at what our government is doing to us. Where else can you find Ruth Bader Ginsberg singing a love song to Antonin Scolea or a humorous... More

Saw the Capitol Steps in Westminster on Nov 16, and they were OK. The material was equal parts amusing, inspired, obvious, and corny. The performers were strong with great singing voices. Corey Harris provided most of the highlights, starting with his Obama monologue. The audience, many of whom were in their 60s and older, ate up a lot of their... More

At the Ronald Reagan Building Ampitheater we laughed our way through "The Capitol Steps." This was not crowded and a great way to entertain yourself in the evening. If it is playing while you are visiting Washington, highly recommend.

The show had some good moments, and some good snickers, but I think it's vastly over-rated on tripadvisor. Paid nearly $40 / ticket and it was definitely not worth that. You'd get better laughs at a 2 drink minimum comedy club. There was never really a big laugh, and most of the material was instantly forgettable. The guy who did... More

Haven't seen the Capitol Steps since we lived in Washington, but every time we saw them the material was fresh and the delivery was hysterical. I recommend them highly and I understand their road show is as excellent as the home company.

Went to see the Capitol steps last weekend in DC and it was great!! Very, very funny!! Although I have not been as up to date on current events the past 3-4 mo, as I usually am, I didn't miss a beat. That being said, teenagers and younger wouldn't enjoy it as you do have to know what is going... More

Maybe I'm the only person on earth who had never heard of The Capitol Steps, because when a friends invited hubby and me to join them for their Sunday matinee performance at the Cranwell Resort in the Berkshires, my immediate response was "Who?" We went anyway. I read some material online about them and hoped that I understood enough about... More

This is the fourth time we've seen Capitol Steps and they are still hilarious. Ever since we made our reservations, I've been reading the paper thinking "What will they use in the skits?". And they didn't disappoint. You have to be politically aware and smart or half the jokes and songs will go right over your head. Highly recommend!

I love live comedy shows and consider myself a political junkie, so I had NO DOUBTS that I would enjoy seeing The Capitol Steps bring the two together. What a disappointment! I know the whole thing got rolling 30-odd years ago when some Capitol Hill staffers put on a show at a Christmas party and that, since then, professional actors... More
