Visited this comedy venue during a business trip and I did think it was funny. Now not laugh out loud funny, but I did laugh several times. I have to compliment the cast (middle aged folks) as they really were exceptional! If you are looking for something to do in DC at a reasonable price and with virtually clean comedy,... More

Went on 11/11, 3 days after the election and they did not disappoint. Amazing what a cast of five can do. The parodies are top notch and the theater is very intimate. The theater is in the bottom floor and there are signs to lead you there.

We were in Washington the weekend before the natoinal election and thought a trip to Capitol Steps would be appropriate. We were not disappointed. We have seen Capitol Steps before in various locations. This was the first time we saw them in the Reagan Building Amphitheater. .The five person company wa sall in good voice, probably better than any other... More

Great show that is kept completely up-to-date with everchanging skits. The material pokes fun at every political persuasion equally and fairly gently, too, so it is easy to laugh at all of it. Definitely a good time out for most anyone. There is a Metro stop right at the Ronald Reagan Building.

We had heard that the Capitol Steps was a Washington tradition that couldn't be missed, but were a little hesitant about going, as there was concern that some of it would be over our heads. We aren't all that political. Let us assure you that it was tailor made for everyone. Not too left, not too right, perfectly unbiased. It... More

But during an election year, even better! One of the best years for material and they didn't disappoint. FYI, they do not allow drinks in the theatre so do not allow the concession stand to tell you otherwise!

We had not seen the Capitol Steps for nearly a year. The show was as great as ever. The material changes to be current. The review satirizes all pliticians and cannot be judged partial to Left or Right, Democrats or Republicans. It is THE quintessential D.C. political comedy review. A must see when in Washington.

No politico left alone in the targeted lampooning! All sides of the political spectrum were brought to light in satire. Very creative use of taking well known sings and changing the lyrics. In terms of age-appropriateness, young children will probably enjoy the music but not understand the subjects. Bottom line, it was a night of fun and laughs!

We went with an extended family group that included ages 16-80, politically liberal to conservative, and I was worried whether everyone would enjoy it. I am happy to report that The Capitol Steps performers are equal opportunity satirists, and while they can be slightly "edgy" and risque, it was never too much. There were lots of fun impersonations and silly... More

Every Monday evening from 8-9pm the US Navy symphony-orchestra performs a fantastic show with soloists and a large orchestra. Sitting on the steps in front of the capital with the sun setting behind the Washington monument and the length of the mall shaded in twilight colors. A special moment to be remembered. Very talented senior performers.
