Great spot to eat and experience different kinds of food. Healthy, little bit hipster but worth visiting.

If you've watched The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt on Netflix, you've seen Carol Kane's character Lillian hilariously attempt to fight back at the gentrification of her neighborhood. This is the result of that gentrification. Yuppies and hipsters everywhere. I stumbled across it while walking down the street it's on and was pretty surprised to find it. A large open space houses... More

Union Market Excursion When visiting D.C., there are many different and interesting places to eat. But, most restaurants only cook one certain type of style, which if nice if you only have to worry about yourself. Coming from a family of 5, however, it is always a struggle to find a place to get food that satisfies everyone. When researching... More

We came here only because it was on our hotel's shuttle's route. We're so glad that it was. This is a little market of a ton of hipster-ish food spots. Each one looked extremely delicious. We eventually went with Cucina Al Volo for the kids and TaKorean for us. Everything was delicious. However, do be advised that jusy because the... More

We went on a Sunday and it was very nice! Great options and stores for those who like good food! Oysters at the Rappahannock restaurant with sparkling wine is highly recommended.

In this beautiful melting pot that we call the United States, lies Union Market, in an industrial park in our nation's capital. And inside is a maze of wonderful hipsterdom: unique handmade foods and souvenirs that are produced at small scale. Also, if you venture inside on a Tuesday, as did I, are great Korean Tacos at the TaKorean stand... More

Union Market is at it's essence an indoors collection of interesting food stalls ranging from a korean-mexican fusion place to a cheese specialty store to a place that sells funky pastas. If you are looking for a place to satisfy your inner adventurous foodie spirit, then this is definitely a good (safe) place to satisfy that craving, if you are... More

This is the only place in DC that you find young people with waxed mustaches and other hipster characteristics. It's got great food, (I like the korean tacos) and deserts (ice-cream), and bakeries (fresh bread!). Go for oysters or for a coffee. You'll like it. Hard to find the entrance to the parking lot, turn when you see the SUBWAY... More

Fun place to go and eat samples of different food from lots of vendors. We tried a dosa and arepa, quiche, ice cream and the best bread pudding ever! We bought cheese to take home, and there is very good coffee. It is hard to find a place to sit if you are sampling. There are some sit down places,... More
