We attended Easter mass at the cathedral. It was by far, one of the most beautiful well crafted buildings I have ever been in. Quite the sight to see. I couldn't get my eyes off of the mosaics and marble. I hope to tour and...More

Visited for Easter mass 2018... it was a wonderful service but oh the views and beauty!!! We love Mary but also see how anyone could deeply appreciate the artistry and magnificence!

This cathedral was my highlight on the tour and my Spanish speaking tour guide explained everything. Great Spanish tour with Rafael in the cathedral

This place would be even better for a Catholic, which I am not, because there would be more understanding for all the things to see. The place is huge---viewed from the perspectives of historian, art lover, building/architecture lover, etc---it's kind of a must see if...More

Gorgeous, immense church built over the years starting in 1920 in the Byzantine style. It is the biggest Catholic church in the U.S. It was built like the cathedrals of Europe, without structural steel beams, framework, or columns; it is entirely of stone, brick, tile...More

This is a huge church, with lots of rich artwork and symbolism. We did the audio tour, which was nice to see what you wanted and learn on your own.

WOW - absolutely gorgeous. Inside, small chapels representing different regions all over the world. So inspiring and such a calm, reflective place. It is just so beautiful. I highly recommend a visit.

We stopped here on our way into DC. I figured we’d just walk in, say some prayers, walk around a bit and get back on the road. We ended up staying over 3 hours. This place is amazing and awe inspiring. So much to see....More
