To be honest, I really do not find this archway that much different from the ones I've seen in New York City and Chicago. Each of these arches, however, serves as a beautiful welcome point to Chinatown.

Pretty cool but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. Interesting area to walk through and grab something to eat.

It's not something I would tell someone to go see while visiting DC but we stayed close by and walked past it a few nights while going to dinner. It is a happening area and the arch is pretty and interesting.

Walk under the archway and enter the Chinatown restaurant experience. They are everywhere and we enjoyed several.

The archway is an impressive entrance to the district. We checked it out as we walked around exploring the area. There are nice restaurants in the area, so worth a look if you're after somewhere to eat.

Chinatown has faded over the past couple of decades. The Verizon Center moved in...all the restaurant and clothing chains moved in and you have not much more than an outdoor mall here. Some good restaurants but most of the killer Chinese restaurants have closed due to escalating rents. The arch is still impressive and worth a photo if you are... More

Chinatown in Washington D.C. is very small compare to other major cities. The same as other cities, the archway is a symbol of Chinatown. Chinatown in DC is only a few blocks square from the middle of H and 7th Street. When you see the Arch, you know that you are in the middle of Chinatown. Chinatown in Washington D.C.... More

The Chinatown Arch is just right outside the metro station, and is the "gate" to D.C.'s Chinatown. Chinatown itself is quite small, with a handful of restaurants and a couple shops, but the arch is worth the trip, especially at night when it is lit up.

I was excited to see the Chinatown Archway. The archway was beautiful but expected to exploring rest of Chinatown but it's only one blocks.

Not just the arch but also the nearby street crossing is worth a picture. Chinatowns are mostly not very interresting, but thes two points makes it worth a visit.
