Worth a visit

One of the oldest campus in the country and definitely one of the best. The architecture is gorgeous and the grounds very very clean.

Founded in 1789, Georgetown University is worth a visit! It's architecture is beautiful and drenched in history. Do a little reading before your visit - lots of hidden treasures on campus where historic figures spoke (i.e. George Washington on the Old North steps).

I agree with other reviewers that comment that the university is a wonderful place to walk around. Beautiful buildings with a long history. The surrounding neighborhood is full of scenic interesting old row homes. A short walk from the shopping district and restaurants.

In the heart of Georgetown, it is worth visiting to admire the architecture and walk around the campus. In addition to the university, you can combine your stroll through campus with visiting shops and restaurants in this bustling neighborhood.

The college buildings and dorms are from a different time. You can close your eyes and feel majesty of a bygone era

A surprise welcome for an urban campus with so many of its buildings on the street, nice to see a campus center with welcoming gates. Rather lovely, especially given its locale.

Run by the Jesuits, this is the most famous university in Washington and probably the oldest. It hugs the Georgetown district which also is interesting in its own right. The campus is a mixture of old and new and is filled with students twelve months of the year

This is probably one of the most beautiful university campuses that I have seen in the US. I was lucky to be there at the time magnolias were blooming in mid-Spring and the weather was beautiful. It covers quite a bit of territory, so it's easy to get lost, but I always got help from the people passing by.

Thank Lina L
