Really cool place for jazz presentations. The sound was a bit too loud and Food a bit expensive, however it was really tasty. The place is not fancy, but it goes for the purpose of delivering great jazz.

Their website says they are open Tuesday June 21 2016 we went out of our way to go there. Ten o'clock...door locked. Called. Phone just rings. Hopefully the place is permanently closed

Over one hour to receive our food for a party of four. The service was very poor in general. The food is marginal at best. Also, we were asked to be silent during the performance because voices affect the other customers. All I can say is stay away!

Twins is a long-running jazz venue in the now gentrified -and totally- safe U St. neighborhood. Take a yellow or green line train to the U St. stop, and take the 13th St. exit from the station. Twins is a legendary Jazz Club but we must have went on an off night. It was a Wednesday but that's still not a good excuse. The BMG trio was decent but their female vocalist was horrible. And to think they charged us $10 a head to get in. We left after the first set and went to Jo Jo's... More

I've gone to Twins Jazz a number of times, often with friends. They host a wide variety of jazz and jazz influenced performers – always of extremely good quality. The band was just excellent with New Orleans Jazz style, the quisine is ethopian and it was ok. I loved this place which is on U Street the hip place in DC

We went on a Friday night for the first set. It was a septet and they were crowded on to the tiny stage. Jazz there is good, just about everything else is mediocre. In particular, food is a total disaster. I got a terrible heartburn from their deep fried wings, a first one in many years.
