Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I visited the Peace Monument in August 2021. Since the US Capitol is closed I walked twice around the grounds. I walked around the Reflecting Pool and visited the Ulysses S. Grant Memorial, the James Garfield Monument and the Peace Monument. There are many photo opportunities and I enjoyed seeing the Peace Monument.

Walking across the roundabout, I noticed the perfect opportunity to get a very good shot of both this monument, and the backdrop of the Capitol building.

While walking around the areas of the Capitol Building, I noticed this monument located on a very busy roundabout. Quickly took a look at this monument, got some pictures taken, before moving on to other attractions located near by.
Don't miss it when visiting the Capitol Building and its related attractions.

Beautiful peace monument in front of the Capitol dedicated to the Armed Forces in the 19th century. Worth looking at for a minute

It stands on the grounds of the Capitol, in Peace Circle. We had just been to The Botanical Gardens and The Capitol building and landed on this massive roundabout, admiring the monument and taking photos.

It’s defiantly worth a look, it’s near the Capital building, Grant and Garfield memorials. Careful though it’s at a rotary and the traffic is heavy there at times.

The Peace Monument also known as Civil War Sailors or Naval monument is on a roundabout (circle in USA speak) in front of the Capitol building and in my opinion the best that you can view in this area, well worth a pit-stop.
