Overview
More
The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government.

The tour itself was okay..although short. You only see 2 rooms....which is kind of disappointing. To get a pass to see the house or senate you have to first go speak to a guide who tells you how to find who your representative it. This...More

My family toured the US Capital building with an intern from our US Representatives office. The building is beautiful and filled with history. We saw many amazing statues and paintings as well as the old supreme court chambers. A very cool experience.

It's worth a shot. The tour of the Capitol that I booked online was a little disappointing. It's very crowded and VERY noisy but the main problem was we didn't get to actually see the the floor of the Senate or the House... More
