Contact your local congressman ahead of time to arrange a tour by one of their interns. I was surprised how easy it was to enter their offices at the Rayburn Building. The art work and the history in the Capital Building is amazing. So much...More

The architecture is out of this world. The tour is quite quick but the guides are excellent. You will take a lot of photos !

The scale of it all impressed me, even though I only viewed it from the outside. Lots of tourists but even then it was quite easy to get good photos. Ask a fellow tourist to take a picture of yourself ;)

Need to plan ahead and get tickets in advance by contacting your Congressman/woman. This is the only way to get the complete tour. It is very educational and rewarding tour, at no cost.

Sign up for tour at least 3 months in advance. Go early in the morning, it gets really crowded. You don't have to sign up in advance but I would recommend it. Lots of walking, but it is so worth it, guides are very knowledgeable

The center of the running of our great nation. People of all ages must tour the capital. Everyone would learn something and have a deeper pride for our country.

We just viewed Capitol Hill from Independence Mall, where you get a great perspective for a photo. As it is such an iconic building, it's really worth seeing.

I have been to Capitol Hill but did not know you could go inside. Do you have to be an American citizen to go inside? If not and you can get tickets, where do you get them from?

Capitol HILL is not a building, it's a sector of Washington,DC, where the Capitol building is located and some more important buildings in the same area. If you want to go inside the Capitol, you may do so even without... More
