Just went to hear/see Julia Wolfe's Anthracite: a wonderful excursion into modern music that was like an aural exploration of Pennsylvania mining life akin to an Anna Deavere Smith presentation: magnificent. But also, the new Terrace Theater (when did they rehab the place?) was sensational:...More

Here's the tip I want to share with you: Pay $60 to become a member if you want to attend an event here. I live in Florida but love D.C., so I joined the Kennedy Center just to feel more connected to D.C. happenings. Because...More

Here for a Saturday night symphony. Hall was very impressive and the acoustics seemed very good. Lobby area was nice and concessions were good too. Parking was easy in and out. Only negatives the Restrooms in the pre-hall lobby. They were unavailable to the public...More

After living in DC for nearly two decades and visiting the Kennedy Center many times, we finally saw the National Symphony Orchestra. Acoustics are fantastic. We sat in the orchestra seats a few rows from the front, slightly to the left. I'd recommend at least...More

I love going to the Kennedy Center. Keep an eye out for what's happening on the Millennium stage. Tonight I caught a free dance performance. This was great while I waited for the doors to open. I have seen Chicago in this concert hall and...More

We love visiting DC when the American Ballet Theatre is performing at the Kennedy Center. We splurged and visited on Thursday and Friday nights. Just exceptional. Loved every moment. Sometimes it feels as if the center is beginning to show her age and I agree...More
