Incredible bonsai collection. Some of the bonsai date back hundreds of years, one bonsai in particular to the mid 1600's.

This park is really huge with trails to go on for one or two hours or more. It is right off of east bound New York Avenue on your way out from downtown Washington, DC. It is very peaceful and quiet park.

The arboretum is a jewel. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of a busy downtown. There are native plants and more exotic plants. There are areas dedicated to plants of various regions.

We were not able to spend a lot of time here, but still found it really enjoyable. If you had more time, you could definitely be there awhile. Loved the chocolate tree!
