WE spent a very hot but pleasurable afternoon visiting the National Zoological Park. We try not to miss any local zoos when visiting and this did not disappoint.

There were much better trails at this zoo as compared with others. There were exhibits of the cheetah, and a really good exhibit for elephants. The other nice thing this zoo had was several eating places and cafes to stop and rest. There was a...More

When I went there was a baby orangutan. It was so much fun to watch him play with his mother nearby. The pandas at first were napping; but, later got up to roll around and play. The zoo is well-established and is easy to navigate....More

As I am not a Washingtonian, I do not know anything about parking during Christmas Day or the holiday. Parking was somewhat limited by the large crowd on the day we went in November. Why not call them to inquire?

I've been there many, many times and visited all their buildings but never seen any.
