We are a family with a background in the space industry. The kids didn’t care to see any of the space section, but they marveled over the older aircraft, hot air ballon, and war planes. Your interest level will vary based on your interest in...More

Great aviation Museum in the heart of Washington. All aircraft there have made a significant contribution to aviation. If you like airplanes you can’t miss this place. You can easily spend half a day here or more. Just know some days the restaurants are open.

My husband was shocked to see the Spirit of St. Louis and the Wright Brothers Plane. He kept thinking they were reproductions. Nope the real thing. Then he flew the flight simulator and shot dowon two Russian Migs. That made the whole visit awesome.

Our whole family are space enthusiasts, live near kennedy space center in FL, and go 2-3 times a year. We were impressed by the collection here, especially in the area of early aviation. Well worth the time.
