You can visit the Lincoln Memorial 24 hours a day and it is free to access. Obviously during the day it is more crowded, but at night it is lit up. The statue of Lincoln is huge and his famous Gettysburg Address is engraved onto...More

Sitting at one end of the National Mall, it is worth visiting the Lincoln Memorial at sundown to capture great views in the Reflection Pool. At night the monument is lit in such a way as to make it appear to float in mid-air. A...More

One of my favorite spots to visit in DC. Best time to go, early morning or sunset. If you are visiting at Easter time, don't miss sunrise service. Get there early but it is worth it.

The Lincoln Memorial is a beautiful historic site and the views from it down the reflecting pool are terrific. Read the inscriptions on the interior of the memorial; and bring your tissues. Powerful stuff here.

you can park on any streets around the memorial area, regular street parking, but read the signs, they can get quite confusing.
