One should not be surprised that the NPS has outstanding sites, but I am frequently impressed despite how many of these things I visit. This battle was one of America's bloodiest, and one where movement proved superior to numbers. The site features a nice visitor...More

The tour can take a day if you stop at all the stops. Starting at the visitors center where you can stand on the spot where General 'Stonewall' Jackson was shot by his own men, you follow the road around to the house where General...More

Worth a visit if you are into history or the Civil War. This is where Stonewall Jackson took on friendly fire and was mortally wounded. There is a nice visitor center with a nice selection of related exhibits
