First of all gas up, get water and snacks and hit the bathroom in Wellington before you go. Second download stuff beforehand on your device because no service of any kind down there. Go to climb-utah and search for this and they have a intensive...More

If you want an easy way to find and see hundreds of pictographs and petroglyphs, then this is not the drive for you. If, however, you would enjoy driving through a dramatic canyon and viewing maybe 15-20 pieces of “rock art,” then you should head...More

This is a great drive with numerous points of interest. But do not do this drive in bad or rainy weather as it has a lot of dips for run off and is very curvy over some bad drop offs. It has a lot of...More

Nine Mile Canyon, which is about twenty-five miles from Price, UT, is definitely worth the time and trouble to explore if you are at all interested in early American history and culture. The trip to and through the canyon is a photographer's paradise with mountain...More

Like travelling into another world. Old houses and cars. Cattle in the middle of the road. Surrounded by huge mountains of ragged rock. And of course, the petroglyphs, the best we've ever seen, and we've seen quite a few. Very few people visiting on a...More

The petroglyphs are so accessible and amazing. Outdoor art gallery for sure. Its rugged country and very remote. Travel safely and bring a picnic!

Nine Mile Canyon is not on the way or close to most of the big tourist attractions in Utah, so I don't think a lot of people get there, but it is well worth the visit. It is true (as one reviewer noted) that much...More

Not for the main road, if you're coming in from Price. It is very nice, well paved and in good condition. Our rental car was just fine. There's a way to get in on the north end of the canyon but that does take 4WD.

I forgot to mention that the road is a LOT longer than 9 miles and it is not in a canyon. Interesting tidbit for first time visitors.
