The lake is beautiful and the water is so warm, the rocks and canyons on the lake are a sight to see. We rented a houseboat for three days at the marina. If you plan on renting a houseboat make sure you have central air and not an RV air conditioner. It was 99 degrees and the AC would freeze... More

We had a fabulous time on the houseboat from a week. We picked our boat up at Bullfrog and everything was a breeze. The water was down quite a bit when we went so make sure you watch out for the rocks! We went July 2013 (late review) Must see: Rainbow bridge, Oak Canyon, Dangling rope, etc. Overall great family... My whole family had a wonderful day on the Lake. We rented a power boat from the Lake Powell Marina and enjoyed a day boating, swimming and tubing. The views were spectacular, and it was such a treat in the middle of our week in the dessert southwest to spend a day on the water. Lake Powell is truly amazing.

The Lake Powell Park, just across the border from Page,AZ was beautiful. The are sandy beaches and nice temperature waters, what more could you ask. It is difficult to get your car to the beach, the sandy roads are easy to get stuck in. So park and walk.

Having a brother-in-law with a partnership in a houseboat sure is awesome. Every year we get to go with his family to spend a week on the lake. Every year, they find a different location with a sandy beach so that the kids can play on the beach and play in the water. The only downside was the sticker weeds,... More

More Good and Bad. Loved the lake. Loved 50 mile river and the rainbow bridge. Hated the stickers on shore. We brought my Lab and she suffered because finding a safe place (sticker free) to potty was near impossible. You must pick up dog poop too, but that was not a problem, just finding a safe place for her to... More

We rented a houseboat from Bullfrog Marina this summer. It was our first time at Lake Powell. The houseboat was 46' with a 12 person limit and two staterooms with queen beds. There were eight of us (four adults and four children), and the size was fine. One family brought a tent to sleep on shore during the evenings. Our... More

We spent the morning/afternoon on Lake Powell with the Lake Powell Marina tour boat. The ride was wonderful and you can sit up top and enjoy the sunshine. We went to the Rainbow Bridge which is about a mile walk from where the boat docks. You need hiking boots or sneakers. We had water shoes because we thought we were... More

Lake Powell looks like it belongs on an alien planet. It is man-made which probably contributes to this impression. It is stunning and the light-quality is amazing. It is a strange, wonderful place. We rented a boat at Wahweap Marina and puttered around the lake, went to Lone Rock, explored canyons and generally had a great day.
