This is a pretty place to hike. Nice slot canyons. But really not dog friendly unless you have a smaller dog that you can hoist over rocks and obstacles at least waist high.

What a great and beautiful slot canyon this is! There is a little confusion as to go right or left but followed a rock cairn and rock arrow that helped us to the right entrance. Climbing over the rock at the beginning wasn't pretty! (Needed a butt boost, as my short legs couldn't reach) but after that? Wow! Weaving around... More

This is rated as fairly easy walk, and it was until we hit the standing water. It had rained 4 days before. The first area we climbed around, but the second was waste to chest high (another couple went through). We weren't prepared for that so we turned around. Regardless is was really beautiful and clearly demonstrates the power of... More

We've been to Goblin Valley many times, but had never tried this hike before. It's just outside of Goblin Valley State Park about 5 miles away on a paved road. The parking area is small, but we were there on a Friday in the fall, so it wasn't crowded. There had been storms a few days before, so the first... More

Two violent storms had raged through the canyons a few days before we went. Luckily, we checked with the Ranger Station in advance of our hike, so we were prepared for chest-deep water, and other potential obstacles. This is not necessarily an "easy" or "family-friendly" hike. The storms had changed the topography of the canyon, so some serious scrambling was... More

The road to the parking area of the canyon is fully paved. It was a small problem to find a passable entrance to the canyon because of a big rock on the entrance. So we climbed a little bit on the left side and found a way down to the canyon. The canyon is really amazing and very small. We... More

This is my second time in this hike and its absolutely amazing! It's an easy hike and unlike anything you've seen before and it's FREE! If your time is limited then pick this hike over Goblin Valley State Park. I've done the 8 mile loop and don't really recommend it. I think little wildhorse canyon is prettier then bell canyon... This is an excellent hike for anyone! You will experience great narrow slots and great adventure, but always safe. The trail as a loop is about 8 miles long, but for less experienced hikers or those shorter on time you can hike through the main slots and take a return trip back the way you came after about 2 miles.... My friends and I walked down the long trail (8 mile) on a sunny afternoon, after visiting Goblin Valley. Luckily, we had a lot of shade, because the walk itself is quite a strain; there are lots of rocks, sudden increases, and narrow spaces to climb over, through, etcetera. This makes it very challenging at times, but also a lot... More

We spent an hour or two hiking here while enroute to Goblin Valley State Park and the whole family enjoyed the experience despite the mid-July temperature of 103. We made the right turn to stay going up Little Wildhorse because it's more "slotty" and we weren't disappointed. This slot canyon is SO narrow that in a couple spots the floor... More
