We did the Fisher Towers hike a couple days ago. We started out early and there were few people on the trail. It does have a pretty significant elevation increase so you need to be in decent shape for this hike. There is a ladder...More

And the drive from Moab is very scenic too! There is limited camping at the roadend. The red towers look stunning when the sun goes down, just light up.

After dinner, we hopped in the car and headed back up UT 128 along the Colorado River. We were on a mission: to catch sunset at the Fisher Towers where there is a 3.9-mile trail that gets moderate traffic. It’s an out and back trail...More

Watched the Comancheros the night before and so to hike into and see the same land the next day was fun. Plan on 3- 4 hours unless you are making it a speed event... And there is a sign when you reach the end of...More

This was an unexpected gem on our scenic Utah 128 drive to Moab. Even if you just drive in and stare up at the towers you will be impressed. Add climbers to the scene and it's perfect. And be sure to take a glance back...More

This is a bit of a hidden gem. No big advertising or signage. Walk is reasonably challenging in terms of steps and elevation but is accessible to most with a moderate degree of fitness. Sensational views on both sides, wonderful rock towers, no fees.

We visited Fisher Towers outside of Moab in April (perfect weather and temps!) at the start of our 10-day Southwest Utah National Parks vacation. We hiked, on a cool, blue-sky and sunshine day, the Fisher Towers trail all the way to the end/summit of the...More
