This is a great hike. I was there in offseason in February. It was perfect weather for hiking but bring ice cleats for some trails. Do realize when hiking that there are two trails that split part way up. I missed one turn and had to find my way back. I got to see it in bright sunshine and with... More

If you can, do the whole hike, you won't regret it. The panoramic view at the end is spectacular. I felt like I was in a painting. The light from the sun setting hitting the rock walls was so cool. You can even see the Colorado River off in the distance, and snow on the mountains if you go in... More

We had some time while in Moab after a day of hiking in Canyonlands and decided to explore up the Colorado River.

The road to the Fisher Towers along the Colorado River is breathtaking. The last part to the trailhead is unpaved but no problem with a normal car. I red in the Internet the best time for a hike is afternoon, because of the light. So we started on the Tuesday afternoon of the last week of September at 2 pm... More

Amazing trail! the more moderate-challenging hike we did while in Moab. We were staying at Onion Creek campsite for the weekend, so this was a perfect hike to end our day! Took us a little over 2 hours, but we were booking it as we were fighting daylight. Highly recommend. The drive out from Moab is lovely too, views along... More

Today we got to the trailhead at about 12 noon. We finished the hike at 4:00pm. We are slow hikers because we enjoy looking at things and stopping to get a feel for the place. This hike had something different to look at at every turn including watching the rock climbers. We lucked out for weather as it was partly... More

This hike is 4-5 hours depending on if you go clear to the end. It is worth going to the end and is a great hike. It is not overly strenuous but it will give you a good workout and the views are beautiful. Go early on this hike as it is a west facing hike and can get quite... More

What to do after Arches National Park? Go to Fisher Towers!! It's a nice challenging hike winding through the base of the towers. Beautiful views around each turn. Bring a couple of sandwiches from the Red Rock Cafe!! North of town turn on scenic rt 128 and drive along the Colorado River through millions of years of beautiful and spectacular... More

We hiked several locations in Moab, and this was one of the favorites. Very few people were on the trail and the spires were amazing. Keep a close look out for the cairns which mark the trail, but overall easy to find your way.

We took 128 heading south to Moab just to stop at the Fisher Towers. It was exciting seeing them in the distance after miles of flat landscape, and they were even more impressive up close. There were trails available to hike nearer to the towers, but aside from that there was nothing much else to do besides look and take... More
