On a non-busy day we visited. Everything is a living history...from the food that is prepared to the methods required to make the food from the animals on site. Beautiful grounds, animals and trees. Must be great during growing season. We saw a sign and...More

One of those places I've always wanted to go, but never made time for. Glad we did today. It reminded me of my grandparents farm that I had such good memories of as a child. I enjoyed walking the house, barn, chicken coop and out...More

Our kids loved this living history museum. Lots of cool farm animals that you could get close to. There was also a small garden. The "farmers" were cooking and answered lots of people's questions about life as it used to be. They were making cheese....More

As part of the State Park this was a great living museum. Period dressed "farmers" on hand living as they did before modern amenities. Several areas, black smith, stable, root cellar and more. Livestock on hand, too. It was such a nice day too.

This was a wonderful place. Would have been better if the farmers and not been sick so they could answer our questions. But enjoyed the place tremendously.

Learn something new each time we visit, got a lesson in cheese-making today. We always drop by the living history farm and our kids love to stop too.

Very conveniently location next to the LBJ park. The farm has various animals and farming items of the pre-electricity era. The staff was very helpful describing how life was on the pre-electricity farm and in explaining how various hand tools are operated.

I really enjoy visiting living history museums. They are always very informative and lots of fun, especially for families. This one does not disappoint. It is small but has a lot to see. This is a well maintained original homestead. The people who work there...More

I went here with two young kids and they both really enjoyed it. It is very well preserved and authentic, and the volunteers answered all of my son's many questions.
