There was a very short hike to the Falls overlook, which is partially obstructed by trees. Then, we went on to the suspension bridge, and over and down to the creek above the Falls. Piney Falls State Natural Area is a protected area near Grandview, just north of Spring City. (Note that Piney Creek Falls is a different waterfall, located in Fall Creek Falls State Park near Pikeville.) One of the easier waterfalls at Fall Creek State park in Tennessee to access. The beauty of nature in unspoiled and natural surroundings.

You have to be careful climbing down the cable to get to the base of the upper falls but it is a magnificent plunge fall and made the muddy cool winter day a thrilling experience.
