Loved the tunnels and cork screw roads. View of Mt Rushmore thru that on tunnel was absolutely amazing. Almost wanted to do another loop. Going in winter was awesome - no traffic.

This is a beautiful drive, thoughtfully laid out to showcase the beautiful scenery of the Black Hills. We rode this Byway on our motorcycle along with 5 other couples who were with us for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Beautiful twisty scenic ride - loved it!!!

Better late than never? It could depend on the season. The southern portion which I did in winter, north to south worked. I think there are views that work best from this direction.
