lake Erie is the smallest of the Great Lakes but has the same number of estuaries (23) as the largest, Lake Superior. It is also easily accessible to a large percentage of the US population. There are cities, beaches, parks, nature preserves, cruises, amusement parks, fishing, camping, and shopping to explore around the lake on both the US and Canadian... More

Awesome quiet vacation spot. Lots of fun on water for young and old alike. Great fishing! Beach fun and tons of spots for cook outs. Animal friendly beaches, picnic spots a plenty.

When me and my family went it was okay. We went to go swimming and the first thing I see is a warning! For ecoli and assorts of other stuff. But the views were wonderful!

We went to a large park which had huge fields, police on horses and nice views of downtown. The weather wasn't the best that day 6/30/2015 but overall it's always nice looking at large bodies of water (even when it's brown) :-D

Visited with my family while vacationing in New York. While I will say it was definitely worth seeing and the soft, flat rocks are really neat, there's not a whole lot going on there. At least not where I was, it's more than possible I missed the fun. It is an awe inspiring view however and the water was very... More

I've never been to a lake, but this is best beach I've been to! Now I don't know if it's because there was a event going on with food truck vendors, valley ball, stand up paddle boarding, classic car show & more but I had fun. Only thing is it's a very long walk.

Wow. Lake Erie is beautiful. Watching the sunset over the waters was breathtaking. And the vastness of the waters just makes me think of what an amazing thing it is that God created the vast waters and yet paid attention to the smallest details of every atom and cell. Lake Erie shores in Vermillion, Ohio were also a great place... More

Great seashore with sandy beaches, scenic bluffs and at times, waves for surfing. Enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, historic towns and villages while you soak in it's maritime heritage. Cedar Point is one of the top amusement parks in the nation.

its a great place near to pittsburgh. you can drive down to lake erie, spend all day and can be back in the evening. it is the nearest sea shore near pittsburgh. though it is a lake, it is so huge that you will not realize that it is a lake. it just looks like sea beach.
