Had an AWESOME time. I went up on a very cloudy day and couldn't see much, so the next day that was very sunny and clear I went again and the view was breath taking! Defiantly recommend.

I've put on a separate review under 'Mount Washington Auto Road' specifically about the drive. This is about facilities and activities at the summit. Weather was good on the day we were there so had great views. Was busy at the summit, but it's going...More

Beautiful to view this tall mountain on a clear day. I made photos of the mountain from a number of vantage points miles apart.

We visit this Mountain by road, just amazing. Although in Europe the mountains I visit were about 3500-4000 meter(12.000 feed) this was still great. Mostly due to vue, percentage of climbing and the narrow road. If You are not confedent in a car and driving...More

What an experience to drive the auto road to the top of Mt. Washington! It is not for the faint of heart what with all the curves, narrow road (no shoulders, just enough room for two vehicles) and steep drop-offs. But the drive is very...More

So looking for some idea of ease of travel without a car. DOnt want to bother about the driving issues onthe wrong side of the road.. want to see the area. ANy private tours, train or can we do it on buses..grateful or any suggestions. THANK YOU.

I don't have any info on tours outside of Boston. Driving is a great way to see the foliage. The roads are wide and weren't busy when we went apart from a bank holiday weekend. Personally, would recommend driving.
What is the average ascent time via automobile? Also descent if it is different road.
