The trail is easy and short to the well hewn river gorge. Spend some time observing the geological formation. Go down to the Rocky shoreline to pick some stones. We found a smooth gray baseball size stone. Watch the crashing waves and time your camera.

Walking up to where the river is wide is worth the trip. Then loop back down to the beach which is really nice. We went to the beach a second day and just sat and dug for agates. Definitely a favorite stop on our trip.
