We really enjoyed this stop. The people were kind and the store was great. It was filled with candy, gifts of all sorts, random pieces of history and great music.

Yes Old Timers Day is a real thing. Despite the drizzle the people came to this Ohio River landmark. The musicians played, the ale 8 was served and the artists sold their wares. The store is beautifully restored from the Fire and the community supported...More

Like stepping back in time - lots of souvenirs candys foods and beverages. The folks that work there were friendly too. Worth the stop.

We went here just for the iconic name and history that the store holds. The store itself is very neat and there are all sorts of things for sale. The town has a lot of antique stores, a small winery, and kick-knack shops, there is...More

I have always wanted to go, not having high expectations. There are three or four buildings around the general store (great rebuild), so it was bigger than I expected right away. Parking could be tricky on a busier day, we were there mid-day this past...More

Well, we passed right by and did not realize that we left it in the dust, litterally! It is one of 3-4 properties on this little old country road. Once inside the rebuilt general store, meeting a lady named Bobbi and learning about the unbelievable,...More

Only good thing was the view of the river and the hand held urinals on the wall. Not air conditioned if you plan to visit on a hot day. Kinda trashy.

My wife saw an advertisement for the General Store while we were in Lexington, and decided to stop on our way to Ohio. Interesting store serving a local clientele. Lots of different products with a good beer selection. Worth a stop if passing nearby.
