Steinhatchee is located a few miles off route 19 on the Gulf of Mexico, with Perry probably the nearest big town. We were travelling from SW Florida to the Panhandle and wanted somewhere to stopover for a picnic lunch. Steinhatchee River is the access to the pristine waters of the Gulf of Mexico! No houses - AWESOME fishing!
