All these scared urban sissies on here stick to the interstate system, 36 is a great road just drive during the day and dont be in a hurry I drive it all the time.

The short answer is "Yes", but be very cautious. I did see large trucks on the road but where the road is being repaired it narrows down to one lane with no straights. Good luck!
