Very unique historic train station in the middle of the desert. Bountiful architecture and nicely restored. There is a museum and gift shop. A 15 minute intro introductory film of the Mojave Preserve is a good start. The park rangers are very knowledgeable about other...More

Very interesting place. Depot is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday but still fun to walk around. Great picnic areas and restrooms. Make sure you check out the nearby sand dunes and rock formations.

The building is great looking and the history behind it and the area is a great read. Well preserved location and nice museum of info to check out. A bit hot there in July 😉

If you are passing through the Mojave, worth stopping here to see the history about the railroad and look at the visitor information. All well presented. Plus clean toilets!
