We boarded the train in Los Angeles and rode straight through to Seattle. Service and staff are terrific. The food is not gourmet but delicious. Tried the salmon with rice and fresh green beans one night and butternut squash risotto on another. We stayed in...More

Orange County to Santa Barbara was a great trip, trip was smooth and comfortable. Got a Drink and food from the cafe car. Train ran a little late but who cares... Nothing matters as I roll down the tracks... Life is good!

Not Coastal. Not Elegant. Not Productive. (no WiFi) Cheap (as in Poor Quality) Food and Drinks, etc. Note. Staff, especially the Sleeper Car Attendant, was AMAZING... GREAT PEOPLE. GREAT JOB. I felt horrible that Amtrak Leadership has set their people up for failure.
