Great scenery - and a "MUST STOP" is the Alaskan Wildlife Conservation Center. Seward is a great destination for a day cruise (but hotels are $$$ and fill up completely).

Just driving the length of the highway is an awe-inspiring experience! It is wild nature at its most beautiful. We drove from Anchorage to Homer and back and constantly encountering incredible sights. Many opportunities to pull off and just soak it in, also.
