We were twice in this venue and both times the groups were great and the cocktails well made. Can recommend this place as a live music venue.

So it is my understanding that they recently re-opened and that could have impacted our experience compared to older reviews. Our guide told us they do NOT have Afro Cuban dance/music shows but it was in our itinerary and so he took us. When we...More

We were promised African drumming & dancing; what we got were four shirtless guys prancing around doing party tricks such as lifting a table with the mouth, juggling swords and ripping a coconut to shreds with his bare teeth, even (sigh) getting members of the...More

We have caught a show of Afro-Cuban dance. It has been a real delight, a boost of energy and passion coming from the dancers. Made my whole day in Trinidad.

At the moment the venue is shut but is now situated in the community centre down the hill from Casa de la musica. I had 4 great nights dancing Salsa and Son with tourists and locals. Free entry as well

I really enjoyed the shows and the fact that it was less crowded was a bonus. Being Congolese, it was really nice experience to see the similarities in the dance moves and instrument being used while in Cuba.

It gives a picture of the development of the music that defines Cuban music today. Very interesting and important for anyone interested in what makes Cuba special

This place is a special place. In Palenque Royals Congos people are in contact with African culture that exist in Cuba. There are also classes Rumba and percussion. It is a good choice for the night.

We loved our two evenings here. Amazing floor show, great music. We practiced our newly learned salsa while the warm-up band played, before the show. The dancing in the show was superb.
