Thrilling climb but wait for the other tourists to go first

We took the train out here and it's a stunning view. There are a lot of vendors at the base, but none of them hassled us and their colored fabrics swinging in the wind gave a nice effect to our photos. The tower has a nice view at each level. If you're going by train, wait for the initial rush... More

Travelled here on the tourist train. Great day out. Cost to climb was 1CUC for non cubans. Kids climbed to the top and said that there were great views - it was too high for my liking!

We visited this place as part of the little train journey (leaves at 9.30) from Trinidad. Our host in Havana suggested taking it since you can see the sights of Trinidad in an afternoon. The town was a quick stop off for lunch and a very good place to purchase the lovely hand-made textiles. There is a better selection with... More

Interesting trip about sugar cane, slavery, ... in a really pretty oldtimer. We had a fun guide who gave a lot of information, which made the trip worthwile. We booked the excursion with Cubanacan.

We went for a halfday trip with Cubatour to Valle de los Ingenios. The trip did not give us, what it promised. Not very much to see, only the old ruins and the haciendas. Even though we had some informations, it was not worth the effort of using 5 hours. We was not at all satisfied with Cubatour. When they... More

This was part of our tour of Tinidad. This was a nice history lesson on the sugarcane industry in Cuba.

Interesting old tower and "manor home". Super old, and full of history. You can actually hike up the tower! And I met a cute little local falcon too. Great location to buy (AND BARTER) for textiles, quilts, other attire. They love to negotiate and expect it.

There's a few obvious stops in the valley you'd likely want to see, centered around slave-based sugar production in the epochs past. Interesting, but nothing to write home about.

It let you see the working atmosphere in the plantation . You can climb to the tower ( 1Cuc) but it a little dangerous for young children or oldest poeple .. You will have a nice view o. The area .
