    Worth a visit!
Great place - really nice food, wine’s good (Waiheke prices of course so make sure your credit card balance is high), good views, good vibe, pretty good service. Nice that it’s a bit off the beaten track also (on the Explorer bus route though so accessible if you don’t have a car..). Recommended as somewhere to head to that isn’t one of the Waiheke big names (aka Mudbrick, Cable Bay, etc).

    Perfect View for lunch
Great place for lunch and for an amazing view. when the weather is clear you can see Auckland from the top. The staff is very friendly and the food was great. Note that wine tasting is not available at the restaurant so plan accordingly. If you are on your e-bike, please be aware that this is a fairly up hill ride but worth it.

    Great Service!
Our service in the cellar for a wine tasting was incredible. Our host was kind, talkative, well-informed, and generously gave us an extra glass. Unfortunately, we went inside to the restaurant for a late lunch at 2:00pm. We tried ordering three items - all of which the kitchen was already out of. Service and wine was still incredible, just would’ve liked to cap it off with a meal.

We spent a wonderful evening at the Batch Winery!
We spent a wonderful evening at the Batch Winery! We started with a lovely and interesting wine tasting. We had a very nice host who shared his extensive knowledge with us. Afterwards, we enjoyed the breathtaking view and the delicious food with matching wines. We would recommend a visit to anyone visiting Waiheke.

    Beautiful Estate
Great winery that we visited via the Hop on/off bus. Did a short loop hike onsite prior to the wine tasting. Wine was very nice, and staff were excellent and very knowledgeable. Shout out to Lava from Czech who was especially hospitable even during a rush of a wine tour bus arriving. Didn't eat as we had lunch earlier, but menu looked well worth the visit.

    Great view
We visited as part of the Hop on Hop Off bus tour. Lovely estate with great view! We had lunch in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Disappointing you couldn’t do wine tasting while enjoying a meal or snacks. Wine tasting was good but only one person working who I felt sorry for as he was so busy. Not sure if I’d return.

    Unexpected Gem
Our visit to Batch Winery turned out to be an unplanned highlight of our vineyard tour. The panoramic views were nothing short of magnificent, creating a picturesque backdrop for an unforgettable experience. The wine tasting at the Cellar Door surpassed expectations, offering a fantastic selection that pleased our palates. The restaurant not only boasted delicious food but also delivered impeccable service. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, adding an extra layer of warmth to our visit. Batch Winery quickly became a standout, earning its place as a must-visit destination on Waiheke Island

Amazing View and Lunch at Batch
We did a day tour by jumping on the Hop-on and Hop-off bus in Waiheke Island and headed to Batch Winery for lunch and wine tasting. Jess, our server was friendly, informative and a delight to meet. She gave us her recommendations and we had a fabulous lunch. The wines were enjoyable with our lunch. We had the best king fish, cooked to perfection. We ordered the pear salad and the miso eggplant, both delicious. After lunch, we strolled around the winery. Absolutely the best view of the island you can see Auckland pier from a distance. Worth the trip!

    Gorgeous wines and views!
The risotto was delicious-lighter than the traditional version. Fish of the day was also amazing. But if you’re looking for an incredible pavlova, go for it! Good service. Attentive without being overly so. Of course, we had to taste the wines. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the hilltop views were spectacular!

Great place to visit, probably best deserts on the island
Called here in the afternoon while exploring Waiheke on the hop on hop off bus service. We only had a short time available so we elected to try their deserts - mainly pavlova - and chose a rose to drink with it. All were very tasty and the waitress very polite. With more time I would think it would be great to have a full meal here. Must add the scenery from the winery ia also worth the visit and on a clear day you can see Aukland in the distance.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience at the Batch and I am never one to usually complain. My partner and I arrived at 3pm and were told that a lot of food on the menu was unavailable. We shrugged this off and finally found something to order and ordered one of the wine tasting options for two but only one was brought out. Apart from when we arrived we were never approached by staff throughout our meal. This made it very difficult to order more food and drinks and it was disappointing that we weren't asked once how things were. By dessert we were even told they had run out of forks. Any simple questions we had in regards to the menu couldn't be answered and in the end we were sick of getting up every time to find a staff member to order more drinks. When we did order, things were constantly incorrect and the donuts we bought for dessert were completely stale. We spent a lot of money to come to the Batch and were about to spend a lot of money on our time there when the service was very poor. It was as if no one had time for us or were listening to us at all. Like I said we never usually complain and were polite throughout the whole experience. We gave them the benefit of the doubt the first couple of times but then it just became ridiculous. The view was amazing and the wine was great but the food was average at best and service was terrible. I would not recommend spending money here. Even though the manager was understanding and took the donuts and wine tasting off our bill I have to unfortunately say I will never be going back and wouldn't recommend anyone else going.

Unfortunately I had a very poor experience at the Batch. I and my partner arrived at 1pm and we booked a table for two for our anniversary, and were told right up by the manager that we were going to be grouped with 10 other people at the same table we barely even know! we already paid for our 3 course meals and it was expensive, of course..it was sensible, that we expected a top notch service. So, we refused, and the manager told us that it was the only option he had, sorry it wasn't good enough, at least he should have said to us....if we waited another 20 minutes, he could try to get a table of 2 for us. After we complained and argued, finally they managed to get a table of two for me and my partner, we waited for 20 minutes and none of the staffs even came to our table to take our order in, we even had to hunt  a waiter to take our order.

Finally our entrée order arrived after a hour of waiting, and we had our dessert 15 minutes before the shuttle arrived to take us back to the ferry station, so in total it was 3 hours from the time we arrived until they served us our desert. The restaurant wasn't at full capacity but seemed to be seriously struggling to cope. The service was terribly disappointing and the food was average,  we were never approached by staff throughout our meal. The view from the restaurant is stunning, and it has plenty outdoor seating area. But the service is terrible, I will never be going back and wouldn't recommend anyone else going.

Nothing wrong with food but served cold. Service was poor, any issues were not clearly communicated to our party. We had reserved and confirmed in advance, despite this we were sat at the wrong table before confirming and correcting what was discussed prior. The staff were cordial but not friendly or inviting, and drinks took a long time to arrive - on average 15 minutes - most appalling was we had to leave to catch our taxi after waiting half an hour for one bottle of wine not arriving. Had high hopes but disappointed.

Terrible! So understaffed. Just trying to get to our reserved ta me took forever. We had to remind the waiter twice for our drinks. The beetroot salad was underwhelming with two thick slabs of dry bred on the side. Host responsibility is non existent. The group of young females beside us were clearly intoxicated and should not have been allowed to remain on the licensed premises, Cleary disturbing other guests! But the worst part was - having booked the bus back to town it left without us, 4 minutes prior to the departure time and left us stranded! All the staff could say was “You’ll have to wait until the 4:15”. Nearly an hour of waiting because of their stuff up?!? Thankfully the lovely driver from another tour company get sorry for us and gave us a lift to the nearest village. Pretty annoyed given the zero care from staff. Spend your money elsewhere.

Very disappointed with our lunch here; the drinks we ordered sat up on the bar for some time and eventually a staff member brought them to us with apologies acknowledging that the drinks had been waiting and so they ‘thought they should bring them over’. The wine was on the warm side and the martini (served in a wine glass) tasted like cheap sweet soft drink. We ordered 4 small plates of food, of these the seared tuna was pretty good and the fish of the day was ok although the accompanying potato was barely cooked and the leeks were tough. The bread and dips was ok, can’t go too wrong with that, but the crab spaghettini was terrible. It was completely tasteless, the crab was watery and insipid. All the food was under seasoned. The waiter appeared shocked when we complained and subsequently told us that the chef was ‘disappointed’ that we hadn’t been happy. Not as disappointed as we were to spend $80 on taxis to and from plus $140 on a substandard meal. Never again

Non existent customer service. Despite leaving several messages on the answer machine as phone line is never answered no-one has had the courtesy to return my daughter’s calls. After three nights on Waiheke on our way back to the ferry last Sunday we called in to Batch for a quick visit. We then purchased a bottle of Thomas rose and an $80 bottle of Pinot Gris from the bartender ( who came from Bournemouth). Whilst waiting for the ferry we found the bag we had been given contained Chardonnay not Pinot. My daughter immediately rang the winery to inform them seeking advice how to remedy this error. A week has passed and several calls later she has heard nothing. The other wineries where we tasted, lunched, dined and purchased wines are far more efficient. I won’t be completing the Legacy Club form given to me by the bartender to import to UK - a pity as I liked the Pinot Gris. Extremely disappointed with the management at Batch.

We were taken here as part of our Winery Tour. Wine Sampling was Ok and guy doing the sampling was very knowledgeable. That’s where the the good stuff ends. We were sat down and waited for nearly an hour for our food that was pre ordered several hours before by our Tour Guide. Half the orders never arrived and were missed leaving the staff trying to sort out the problem. The meals that were delivered were cold or wrong. No one asked for drink orders after our first drink which was bad. What made it all worse was there was no apology offered. Such a huge shame as views were awesome but all let down by extremely bad service in the restaurant. We think the staff were poorly trained and inexperienced. Shame but we will never be back.

An amazing setting and that is as good as it got. Our order was taken after a short time but I suspected when two wait staff came to tell us about the specials that things could go wrong. We waited an hour for our food and when it finally arrived we almost wished it hadn’t. I ordered the seafood tower, the raw fish was actually inedible, the fish dip was bland and had bones in it, the mussels and clams had no flavour whatsoever and I failed to finish eating them...a first for me as I love seafood. One of our group had the chicken burger which was barely warm and the few hand cut fries that came with it were cold, the other guest had the snapper which was mushy and covered in a tasteless tomato sauce. We had told the wait staff we were not happy with the wait time, then told them the food was not great and could they let the maître d know we were not happy and would like to speak with them. They simply never came....there are way better places to spend your money on Waiheke and I suggest you go there.

I’ve previously visited and eaten here three times. On the strength of those positive experiences I booked lunch here with my sisters - one from Wellington and one from Bay of Plenty on our first ever weekend away together. We waited more than an hour for food when it wasn’t particularly busy. I can safely say it was the worst lunch I’ve ever been served (for $39). It was supposed to be fish with various shellfish. It was dried up, smothered in tomato paste, the mussels were dry. When it finally arrived, because it was barely recognizable, I said “that’s not what I ordered” as the fish couldn’t be seen. When I found it, it was mush in flavourless tomato sauce. What it appeared to me, was that there was no chef as there was no flavour. When we raised our concerns with staff they appeared embarrassed and indicated there has been a change of management. The manager avoided us and offered coffee and dessert but as we didn’t have another hour to waste on our special weekend we declined. There was no warning of wait time and no apology. How something so good could go so bad I don’t know. I hadn’t read trip advisor before we left for lunch as my past experience was great. I now wish I had. Just pick up your act. Show some concern when people raise theirs. Your location is great and you’ve thrown this restaurant’s reputation to the dogs.

Just a quick stop on a cold windy day to do a spot of wine tasting.
View is great and on a hot, calm day would be superb.
Only braved a quick photo then did wine tasting in the cellar door but I believe this can be done in the restaurant too?
Did the Premium tasting 5 more reserve quality wines for $25.
Loved all the wines and think this was a good choice.
If we had more time it would have been nice to grab a bite to eat too and enjoy the view.
