Spent a couple of nights here. Arrived on ferry from Welly! And explored the tracks from Picton to Waikawa rather than taking an organised boat trip or walking the QC track. Paths are superb, well signposted and offer some excellent views and picnic spots. Good...More

Came to the town by cruise ship and was dropped off in the town by bus. Walked here and was taken back by the amazing views over the bay. Very pretty and so beautiful. You must walk around to get the views from every angle...More

They are not many ferry terminal areas that are so very pretty. Lovely views of the sound and pretty quayside walks.

I got into Picton late at night. Could not see anything. Upon waking.... this place and the sound are gorgeous!! I took the ferry to Wellington through Picton Sound and was on sensory overload!!!!! Beautiful!!!!!!

We fell in love with Picton. It is small but has a bit of everything, not least incredible views and scenery. Do stay for a few days - there is more to it than a ferry port!
