Marlborough is unbelievable. I don't understand why it isn't the most popular destination in New Zealand.

One of New Zealand's best kept secrets. Great hostels, wonderful wharf, stunning day hikes, walkable. I just love it.

Picton is perfectly located to access the Marlborough Sounds which are only able to be reached by boat. There are many wonderful tracks to walk from Picton or further afield by boat.

Our family took our boat out to blumine island and did the hike to the ww2 gun emplacements. Great weather at easter and an easy walk. Saw some wonderful wildlife and seals on the way.
