I had time to go into this museum. It's quaint but at the same time informative. The museum displays an informative aspect of the whaling era of the area. It doesn't hide the fact that whaling existed and has a good display of history about...More

This is a well setup/presented museum that does a great job of putting local history on display. Of particular interest is the focus on whaling history with plenty of artifacts, pictures and information panels. If you're lucky there may even be an ex-whaler there to...More

You'll learn about local history, original items in exhibits. Very good stuff, one of them actually worked with the equipment on display.

Some good insights into the early days of the whaling industry in the area, with friendly and informative staff. Loved the Orca skull!

We looked around relatively quickly, mostly populated with quirky collections that have been donated to the museum. If you are interested in whaling there may be more to interest you.
