The Great Ocean Road walk was quite a challenge, but worth it for the amazing views and the opportunity to completely get away from it all and enjoy a break from real life.
Each day brought new vistas, plants and animals - I loved seeing koalas, and the coast in all kinds of weather. We opted to be up early and out on the track, so much of the walking was done by lunchtime. I chose to have a couple of shorter days due to fitness levels, and took a day off in the middle to enjoy Johanna Seaside Cottage.
The accommodation was lovely, the group were great company, and the food delicious. The guides were great - Kerrie and Simon were very encouraging and supportive of this tail-end charlie. Simon's who / what am I questions at the beginning of the day were a good icebreaker to bond the group, and daily riddles helped exercise the mind as well as the body. I appreciated the thought given to musical selections on the bus (there were some rainy day songs, and celebratory ones for the final day). On the track I got the Rocky theme as encouragement at the very end of the walk, in recognition of achieving what at times seemed impossible.
Would I recommend the walk? Yes, get as fit as you possibly can (I wasn't as fit as I could have been). Take a fly net, make sure your boots are both sturdy and comfortable.
Would I recommend Intrepid - yes, absolutely, and the guides also.

Fantastic 5 days walking In Tarkine wilderness… accommodation excellent, Corinna cottages unique; food plentiful and delicious; guides excellent and knowledgeable; walks well described with a good sense of capability for older, slower walkers. Variety of rainforest, coastline and environmental impact reinforced the need for protecting this magnificent part of Australia. Highly recommend!

G'day!
Hearing about your 'fabulous' time in the Tarkine has absolutely made our day. We're over the moon to know that you loved the experience, from the unique Corinna cottages to the plentiful, delicious food. It's always great to hear that our guides did an excellent job and could cater for all walking paces.
Also, we couldn't agree more on the importance of protecting the Tarkine wilderness. It's truly one of Australia's treasures. Thanks heaps for recommending us - that means a lot!

Fantastic trip away from everyday life.
The walk was the Great Ocean Road hike. Was definitely challenging due to different fitnesses on the trip.
This hike was advertised for over 50’s however at no fault of the guides or others age range on our trip ranged in the 20’s up.
This came at a great time for me personally due to loss of a family member and family pet. I haven’t laughed so much for a long time thanks to great friends and new ones including great commentary from guides Kerrie and Simon.
The accommodation was superb food preparation from our guides delicious entertainment from everyone great.
The only downside from my perspective was I expected 2 guides for the walk and a driver. One at front and one at the rear for any injuries or safety concerns that may of occurred, this did not occur and due to this part of the group were not in radio range of the single guide.
Definitely recommend this to anyone that loves walking and the great outdoors and reaching a great reward at the end the Apostles and other great sites on the way.

What can I say to sum up the amazing trip we have just finished to the 12 Apostles walking the Great Ocean Walk. The experience has been incredible the views, sites company and the leaders were outstanding. The knowledge both Kerrie and Simon shared throughout the tour made the whole tour so unforgettable. Simons jokes may need a little more work! The accommodation at Johanna was superb and gave a great communal start and end to each day. The food was so good tasty healthy and perfect for the end of a hard companiable day’s walk.
On an important note from us British travelers we came to the trip totally unprepared. We did not receive any briefing notes so we did not have enough water containers for the day nor any protection such as gaters for the snakes. This is a serious omission and we hope this can be immediately remedied with either yourself or Intrepid travel. Thank you for so many unforgettable memories

Wow, sounds like you had the adventure on the Great Ocean Walk! We couldn't be happier that you enjoyed the stunning views and the company. We pride ourselves in our knowledgeable tour guides, but we'll let Simon know to work on his jokes!
We're thrilled the Johanna accommodation hit the mark, and happy to hear the food was up to scratch after a good day's trekking.

A great week in the Grampians with excellent guides, great friends old and new! Well catered, great accommodation - loved Halls Gap. Hikes/walks were challenging in places but doable.

I had a fantastic walking trip in the Grampians National Park. It was run by Inspiration Outdoors. Geoff & Simon were our guides. They were so friendly and professional in looking after us. We all enjoyed our walks because of the beautiful scenery and also the hospitality of our guides. Highly recommend the trip and the company to my friends and others.

Grampians Peaks Trails tour - 8 days - absolutely brilliant. Geoff and Simon, our guides, were fantastic. The five gal's that were in my group were amazing. The bus and hotel were clean, cool and comfortable. The food was delicious and the socialising each afternoon was full of laughs. The walks in the Grampians were absolutely stunning and a fantastic challenge. I enjoyed every minute of the trip

Inspiration Outdoors provided a fantastic tour of this aspect of Tasmania. The walks were calculaled perfectly, being just the right length and degree of difficulty. The guides were superb and the scenery, accommodation, cuisine and transport was top class. I highly recommend this trip for someone wanting some safe adventure with slightly challenfing walking and the opportunity to view magnificent scenery.

My daughter and I did the Walpole-Denmark section of the Bibbulmun track end of Oct/early Nov. 2023. It was just magnificent, in greater part due to the wonderful guidance of Sarah and Peter. We felt totally safe in their hands, the food they prepared was healthy, tasty and abundant. They even managed to provide perfect weather! I found the track tough, 6 days of 20kms with lots of ups and downs. But the scenery was breathtaking, wildflowers everywhere and a couple of times we even managed a swim at the end of the walk. And the river crossing via canoe was amazing! I would really recommend this hike, especially if you are lucky enough to get these fabulous guides.

Thanks heaps for your glowing review! We're so glad to hear that you and your daughter had a brilliant time on the Walpole-Denmark section of the Bibbulmun Track. The scenery on that track is truly something else, isn't it?
Sarah and Peter are absolute stars, and we're chuffed. They took such good care of you (although we're not sure we can give them credit for the perfect weather!). It's brilliant to know they kept you well-fed with healthy and yummy meals.
The Bibbulmun Track can certainly have its ups and downs, literally, but sounds like you took it all in stride and fully enjoyed the stunning wildflowers and rewarding swims. And that canoe river crossing is definitely one for the books!
