Great place to catch the sunset if you are in North Fremantle. Ample parking. We were staying in Pier 21 and it is a short 5 min drive to the beach.

If you want a peaceful beach experience, Leighton is the go. Not as busy as Cottesloe, Scarborough, Swanbourne etc. but just as beautiful. Maybe more so, coz its just beach and sea and the wide wide, long long shore.

Heavenly beach with great beach-side development and well shared sand space for bathers, joggers and a quizillion dog lovers and their beach loving doggies.

Leighton Beach is a simply stunning spot to watch a sea sunset over the ocean. We took some friends from overseas to watch the sunset over white sands, crystal clear water and Rottnest Island, simply beautiful. Take your camera and take photos at regular intervals.

Easy for swimming as it's usually pretty calm. Waves aren't overwhelming. Great family beach. Easily accessible off the train. Usually fairly quiet.
