- Urangan T41 contributionsGrand tour package. 👍Great experience traveling to Rottnest with sealink. We took the grand package offered and it was great. Quokkas everywhere, seen snakes, whales and more. Lunch was great and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Weather turned nasty on the day so to cold to swim, but still had a great time. Thanks for your wonderful feedback, great to hear that you enjoyed your day out with us on Rottnest Island! - slak mCardiff, United Kingdom352 contributionsEasy to update bookingsSealink experience was great! Easy to get on board with the printed online tickets. On the way back we had pre-booked a 6pm return, but we found we had finished with the bikes earlier, so we rang up the Sealink reservation people (free phone in the tourist information) and we could move our return journey to an earlier time of 445pm - they then sent a new barcode to use. All easy. Very choppy on the way back - but it was quick.Brilliant feedback, thanks so much and thank you for choosing SeaLink! We were greeted on to the vessel by a friendly staff member and directed to the priority seating area as we had two prams and 3 children. It was ideal as the children had a bit of safe space and we could relax, knowing we weren't blocking access etc. as is often the case. The ferries are comfortable, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. This makes all the difference when you are travelling as a big family group. I would highly recommend Sealink Rottnest ferry and it is the only ferry I will book to Rottnest as they provide a premium service at a more reasonable cost than any of their competitors. well done - from a great grand mother and her family. We enjoyed our trip both ways.

I've been to Rottnest before on marginally cheaper competitors, and this was a completely different experience. For someone very organised, even I was impressed at this well oiled machine from all aspects - they thought of everything and answered my questions before I thought of them. Adjustments, cancellations, nothing was a problem and they sent very comprehensive itineraries/receipts. All staff on the phone and in person were lovely, well organised and went above and beyond e.g. helped me carry my things when it was quiet. Even the passengers were calm and nice, and it made the terrible week I had so much better. The staff on my return even remembered me on the way back and asked how my trip went - I'm not easily impressed with service in Perth but this company is definitely someone I highly recommend and will stick with for years to come.

We were show casing Rottenest to friends from over East and they very pleased with the experience. Although buying tickets on line was so painful we purchased the tickets at Fremantle and the young lady was very helpful and did us a great deal. But I did think the hire costs for the bikes was a bit excessive

Ordered our tickets online and paid over the phone. Staff on the phones were fantastic, very helpful and knowledgeable and made the process very easy. After paying over the phone via credit card (with a small CC surcharge) tickets and boarding passes were sent straight to your email.
On the day, just flash the QR code on your phone and onto the ferry you went.
Ferry service was on time and crew were fantastic, even gave out some Zooper Doopers to customers on the way back.
Will definitely recommend Sealink for the next Rotto Trip.

How easy was this, we booked over the phone as we had discount coupons from an Entertainment book. Parking at the B Shed for $10 for the day, took two minutes to get our boarding passes and although it was a sold out boat getting on was quick and easy because Sealink Staff were organised, checking tickets and stamping us all before we even got to the boat gate. Rottnest was everything they said it would be what a GREAT DAY. If your only going for a Day go early stay late so much to do on Rottnest and definitely go Sealink!!

Had a great day here on a trip from Fremantle. You get a good boat trip over and, although there are many on the boats they are soon spread out over the island. We hired a bike, which is our preferred way of seeing the island. The bikes are not the best we have hired but we managed to get around the island. We chose Geordie bay for our swim and this is one of the best beaches I have been on, the sand was like flour. Others provide more snorkelling experience but Geordie had a cafe and shop which was needed after the cycle to the far end of the island on a warm day

Good morning Deneeze1953,
Thank you so much for your 5 star review! We are so glad to hear you had a great trip over to the island and were able to spend the day hidden at Geordie Bay! Rottnest is surrounded by beautiful bays and beaches and we are so lucky to have this island only half an hour away from Perth.
We can't wait to welcome you onboard again soon!

The Sealink boat is absolutely fine. Do travel if you don't want to hire a bike.
However if you do wish to hire a bike you are stuck with a shoddy operator who hire ancient and poor bikes. Sealink offer pre booking with Pedal and Flipper who are the only bike hire option on the island if you don't pre-book.
These bikes don't have a means to secure a day bag unless you hire a basket or - wait for it - tie your bag on with a rubber tube.
The other ferry operators bring their own modern bikes with proper racks on their ferries.

We enjoyed an excellent day at Rottnest.
It was an early start to make the 7.00 am Ferry.
We departed just one minute late and enjoyed a smooth crossing to Rottnest Island
Our daughter and three granddaughters were at the jetty excited to see us.
A short walk to their Villa and a light breakfast set the pace for the day.
Then it was off to Longreach Bay for beach cricket and a swim
Pre lunch drinks were served at the Villa and then it was a short walk to lunch at Sandfire , the Rottnest Hotel’s amazing new restaurant. Post lunch required a quiet nap and then a short walk to Pinky’s Resort for drinks and meet friends
It was back to the Villa to prepare for guests arriving for a BBQ and then it was time to pack for our 7.00 pm Ferry
The wind strength had increased considerably, however, SeaLinks smart hull design handled the conditions with ease.
We arrived at B Shed , Fremantle harbour on schedule and walked to our car at the Yacht Club
It was a perfect day

We enjoyed the ferry, staff were really lovely - welcoming and friendly. My only criticism is at being charged a “booking change fee” to change our return ferry time. Considering it costs them nothing to change (it’s an electronic process and ticket etc) I cannot see the justification in charging almost $20 just to change the return ferry time which in our case was earlier due to a sick child. C’mon guys! Rottnest is expensive enough!

Good morning Melschip,
Thank you for your feedback - it's great to hear that you enjoyed the ferry and found our staff so friendly!
We are always happy to change ferry times on the day of travel, so long as we have seats available. We do not charge for this service.
We will look into your booking to see why you were charged this fee, but in the meantime, we are pleased to let you know that we have refunded this amount back to your credit card. A new Tax Invoice has been emailed to you this morning.
Thanks again for your feedback Melschip, and we look forward to welcoming you back on board SeaLink soon!
Kind regards,
Kat

Great service on the docks and on the ferries both to and from the island. Very busy (full passenger load). Service on the phone not flash, tried to call in the afternoon to move my return booking forward to earlier in the day and couldn’t get through, and no return phone call made to my message left. But, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade - a relaxing drink and snack at the Rottnest Hotel whiled away the hour or so before the return journey.

We have limited time to visit Rottnest but are very keen to fit it in.
Can any one tell me is there is plenty of parking at B Shed?
or is it better to park at North Point and get the ferry to Rottnest from there?
If we were to park at North Point and get the return ferry to B Shed ( due to ferry times to suit our itinerary) would there be taxis at B Shed to take us back to the car at North Point?
Many thanks
Written 29 September 2019
We went from North Point(Hillarys’) I think. Don’t really know about doing the boat shed and getting taxi there and back. We got picked up by bus in the CBD and driven to Hillarys’.
Probably best call the ferry company and ask them. Also depends on what time and how the traffic is there. Traffic in WA in general is pretty light compared to other capital cities.
Sorry can’t be more helpful.
