Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wow a stunning beautiful old bridge in the centre of Tavira. It's great that they have kept this in such good condition. The river comes straight from the nearby sea so rises and falls with the tides. On one side of the bridge is a small square with a few shops and restaurants. On the other side is a cobbles steeet with some nice local shops

Excellent artifact. BUT, even the official story is that the oft-rebuilt structure is actually of Moorish origin, not Roman. Don't let this get in the way of seeing an excellent architectural landmark.

The bridge is quite interesting and old. On the river’s banks some interesting buildings with their pyramidal design roofs. Also the square surrounded by restaurants and cafes it’s a nice place to rest. Enjoy!

A beautiful old bridge with lovely views of the river. On one side is the Praca Republica (the town square) and the opposite side is a maze of old cobbled streets with old buildings, small squares and plenty of restaurants. The bridge itself is cobbled and traffic free. The views of the river are best when the tide is in.

This is a lovely pedestrian bridge in Tavira, nice views either side, with nice sitting areas on the bridge, well worth a visit.

with lovely arches, all seven of them. Piers support the arches and although it can look somewhat huge and unrefined, it is pretty from a distance.

The oldest bridge in Tavira. Despite its name, it was built in the middle age, during the Muslim occupation. Nice scenery, street musicians perform in the evening.

The bridge is located just off Praça da República and despite its name is not a Roman bridge, but a bridge at this location dates from the 13th century. The present bridge dates from the mid 17th century. It's a pleasant bridge to cross, especially in the evening when strolling around the town.
