I recommend hiking in September/October, the weather is stable. The trek is easier from Slovak part than from Polish, both parts are nice. I have to remark on Tatras sherpas you can meet, they are the last in Europe.

We took 6-8 hours to climb this beast, not difficult but long! We hadn't fully estimated the effort required and were sore the next day but we enjoyed it and would most definitely recommend

It is 4.5 Hour quite strenuous hike from Štrbské pleso but totally worth of it - of course if the weather is good. I had i guess the Best possible weather-warm, little wind, sky without clouds so then it is necessary to count on crowds...More
