You will find in this lovely litle museum stones of greek antiquity found in the fortress and surroundings, columns, nice objects, presented in one room.; the way around is very nice, for the view and the charm of this little small streets where you can stroll around.

There are some interesting exhibits here but on a nice day I would skip it to enjoy the ambience of the outdoor squares, gardens and cafes.

We enjoyed this small museum not only for the chance to escape a hot day, but for the opportunity to venture inside its beautifully restored building and learn more about the old city. I particularly appreciated the displays which showed how marble architectural elements get re-used over the centuries.

Full of lanes, castle houses, churches, restaurants, hotels, coffee and wine bars. An experience that you should not miss. The whole place is the happiness of the photographers. You should go... I recommend to friends and visitors to start here wondering in Monemvasia with a visit to the Museum. It is small but gives an excellent introduction to the rich history of the Byzantine city

This little museum illustrates in a limited space the historical wealth of Monemvasia. For a first comer it is a must; it will help appreciate the whole Byzantine settlement

It is worth visiting only if you are interested in medieval culture and are ready to give them 2 EUR to see less than a hundred small archaeological finds and a stone iconostasis.
