Kuldiga is a small but very nice city and the attraction number one - waterfall. Actually this is a small waterfall, I mean not height but long in width. Waterfall goes trough river with beautiful bridge and good view to take some photo shots.

If you are in Latvia in April, definately worth a visit. You will see fish flying! And the town Kuldiga is very picturesque and cosy for a day trip to be!

Even though it is a very small waterfall, it is the widest in Europe. It has a horseshoe shape and makes it specially beautiful, specially at sunset. I suggest you go around the bridge, and take the stairs down, to reach the waterfall. There is also a nice beach close to the waterfall.

While the waterfall doesn't look that spectacular as the widest in Europe it's great fun crossing it on foot or swimming in the river beneath. The surroundings are quite nice as well.

Amazing place to visit. In September there is less tourist amount. Water level slightly falls. Классное место для прогулки. В сентябре меньше туристов. Уровень воды падает.

Visited in Summer and was very excited to cross the widest waterfall in Europe but you have to be very careful as the rocks are slippery. When crossing the actual red brick bridge there is a myth that you must make a wish before crossing but then you can not speak till you get to the other side in oder... More

All that has been written already is true about the Venta falls. We were there on a very warm day, so it was crowded. I think it is important to choose what time you visit to get the most of out it. This is a must see when you are there, and bring your camera.

I hardly could believe that such a wonderful and nice looking place exists in Kuldiga. Widest waterfall in Europe. The scenery is incredible - the bridge, the river, the nature. This is the place definitely worth seeing while in Latvia. In addition to that there's also a free parking and ability to go for a swim or walk across the... More
