Before reading this review, we should mention that our main purpose was seeing the caves, rather than getting information and cueing in big groups. We weren’t disappointed in the beauty and magnitude of the inside of the cave, but unfortunately the guided tour ruined the...More

Awe inspiring cave system, I would recommend you take both the guided tour and self guided options - when we went the combined ticket was 24 euros. The caverns on the main tour were incredible but photography is not allowed in this part. Unfortunately our...More

We visited this in the height of tourist season so had to wait in line to purchase rickets but luckily only had to wait about a half hour for our tour to start. Be sure to wear shoes with good traction as the cave can...More

We went on the main tour. They start at the top of the hour and generally take people out in groups no larger than 40 people. The guides provide some general information about the caves, but primarily they guide (walk) you through the caves. The...More

Easy to park and for free. Easy to get tickets and fantastic cave. So big and so deep. Recommend to do both walkways. With the guide and on your own.

As an UNESCO site, the cave did not disappoint us. We are allowed to enjoy the spectacular view as shown on the website. The silent cave which has only the celemite already appears like an architecture. The dynamic part is of a enormous area and...More

As Andrej replied, Skocjan will be tough for you. There are different routes, even ones catered for children, but your safest bet would be to contact them. On the other hand, the entry/exit to Postojna caves is via a train... More

As others have posted, you have nothing to worry about. Highly unlikely to encounter any. These caves are a wonder, experience is phenomenal!
