The name of this attraction is not correct, it is not a lake but a pond. Not natural but artificially made. Second largest in the country. In any case - excellent!

It is quite relaxing to walk along the coast of the lake, watching parents playing with their children in the water. The old castle was actually in the woods.

This lake was built in 16th century by Jakub Krcin. It is the 14th largest lake in the Czech Republic. There ins't anything out of ordinary about this lake, it has plenty of carp in it as the best carp comes from Trebon.

Set in a little built up area next to the town Trebon, the pond Svet and other surrounding ponds is a nice place for cycle trips and walks. Worth getting a bike rental in the town to explore the area.

The word Svet means World in English, so man can make a tour around the World within few hours there. On the way you will come from the middle of a town into wild nature on the other side of the pond. Interesting is that...More
