I visited the cave with my non-Hungarian speaker friend (I'm from Hungary). There is a great interactive, interesting exhibition about the cave, how it was formed, etc with explanation signs in 3 languages (Hungarian, English, German) that, for a misterious reason, you are not allowed to visit on your own. So we were forced to join a group, with a... More

Had a great time with this even if the boat was fairly short. They did have a very informative museum with the tour though that explained the the cave system under the city. It was located in the city which is a surprise and it was close to some restaurants and shopping in town. My wife even enjoyed it!

We came here one hot day in July and were surprised by no queues, as previous reviews had mentioned. Although all the staff spoke English (amongst several languages). Tours are only conducted in Hungarian. My kids and I had to read the explanations in English and only guessed about he tour jokes. My husband and father in law said the... More

Not sure why we were put in one boat with two adults and two teenagers, but because of that the boat trip was quite inconvenient (the boats are rather unstable and difficult to steer through the narrow caves).

First of all the signs to get to the caves are limited to really small arrow signs with pictures of paddle boat so you really have to be alert to get there. The tour is in Hungarian language so it's really not for people not speaking Hungarian. With watching the movie at the beginning and the paddling the whole visit... More

It was a very interesting experience to paddle a boat in a cave. It started with an exhibition with 3D glass which was in Hungarian but there were tables with English translation so it was ok. Then a movie followed also in Hungarian ( I think we were only non Hungarian speaking visitors there) and then we moved to the... More

We visited the lake cave on 8/31/16 about 3:30pm. We got our tickets immediately and was sent to walk through the exhibition with a pair of 3D glasses. There is an additional fee to get headphone audio in English but we didnt need it. The exhibits have English translation. There is a movie to watch and since we were the... More

It was extremely interesting if you like caving. The rafting lasts for 5 maybe 10 minutes. You have to paddle yourself but boats are made to not topple so don't be scared (I was terrified cause I never paddled and I handled it somehow). Views are amazing but it is short trip after all. You don't have to prepare yourself... More

A total waste of time, expecting to see something of wonder, was hugely disappointed. Despite making the 'guide' (questionable) aware we were English we were excluded from any of his commentary, as his English was virtually non existent. and to top it off with a 3D video completely in Hungarian left us wondering why we were there. Then taken down... More
