This was part of our trip to Estonia and a stop we had in mind, I have been in many monasteries and this was one of the best. Only being here on Sunday morning you come closer to God.

Beautiful nunnery with an exceptionally beautiful church. Lovely wooden architecture and spectacular flowers. Sadly, all information was only in Russian.

Easy to find, near the border/ River bank . Beautiful ikons and paintings around the walls and window paintings. Spectacular Golden althars. Women needs to have skarf over head when visiting.

Magnificient surronuding nature, very old and sacred place with ancient oaktrees, sacreda among the pagans. The nunnery, which was also the serving place of Partiarch Aleksius of Russia during Soviet period. Sacred spring, which is believed to heal people.

I visited the nunnery (dependance?) in Kuremäe, which doesn't have its own entry on Tripadvisor. Very special and very quite place, which impresses by its calmness and beauty (see images)

The place where you can meet actual nuns and monks. Very calm, quiet and peaceful. It is great to go solo, but it's family friendly as well.
