Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Jauniela is for sure a very lively street with its winding cobblestone street. This are can lead you into other streets. The street is narrow and I must advice to leave the uncomfortable high heels at home. Please wear comfy cushioned shoes for these roads. Jauniela has lots of charm and many people seem to love this street as well. It just has a lot of charm about it.

Using your TripAdvisor you will see that 3 of the top places to eat in Riga are located on this small street. The architecture is well kept and in classical/mid-evil style. There are some hotels and cafes also to keep you busy. If you lodge on this street you can eat here all week.

Jauniela is a nice pedestrian street in the Old Riga. Lively, but not loud with several cafes and restaurants (Le Crabe Restaurant, Cuba Café, Alpenrose, Put Vejini etc.). Picturesque houses and alfresco dining.

One of the most beautiful streets of the Old Riga , between the Dome Square and Town Hall Square. There were shot ‘Sherlock Holmes’ and ‘Seventeen Moments of Spring’, and many other films.

Jauniela is a street between and a block from both St Mary’s Dome Cathedral and Town Hall, in Old Town. It is renowned for the architecture and Art Nouveau buildings, second only to Alberta iela. A loose comparison is San Francisco’s Queen Anne and Painted Ladies Victorian homes. This street doesn't have the hoards of tourists that many of the Old Town pedestrian streets do, a pleasant walk amongst Art Nouveau architecture.

Riga lives up to its name as probably the world capital of Belle Epoque jugenstil architecture and this street in the old town is one of many pinnacles. Riga is still yet to come of age in terms of friendliness and the embracing of tourism (some post-soviet surliness lingers in the way locals deal with visitors, but this is disappearing in the younger generaltions), but for Art Nouveau architecture, which is what I came here to see, the city cannot disappoint.

Street with real spirit of Old Riga - good object, if you walking through old city. There are some good caffee and restourants. Still mourn for the closed "Pūt vējiņi". :( View from the crosstreet - Krāmu iela - offered one of the classical scene with Riga Doma Cathedral (Doma baznīca).

You may miss it as it is a very small street linking with the market square. You must notice the buildings, nice pics - if you take your camera -, they are wonderful, all full of details...

Wonderful little street just off the main square (House of Blackheads etc) which is easy to miss but worth making an effort to find. Great old buildings, lots of Jugenstil decoration, several good restaurants and cafes. Add to your to do list!

We absolutely loved wondering around the area. Such a unique charismatic aura around these small narrow streets. We really enjoyed our walks each night.
